Up on a ferris wheel

dream a little dream come true

6 minutes of jogging on the treadmill and I felt kinda dizzy when I stopped. 6minutes only leh (plus some brisk walking). See if I can carry on this gym routine for the weeks to come.

I have a sudden thought of joining NIE. More stress free. I sorta view it as a relatively more stress free job. The most stressful part of the job would be struggling to reach school on time each morning. :)

I don't know what I want after all.

You may not know what you want yet, but at least you're looking right? Most people who don't know what they want just end up loafing around... well good on you for taking the initiative to change your situation! :D

Do you mean being a teacher or actually just joining NIE? If it's about being a teacher, do it if you really aspire to do so or else you'll vomit blood. Haha.

eh.. if u wanna join NIE, i would suggest u really think about it first. Consider the bond period and the job scope of a teacher first. I'm saying this not to be a wet blanket, but because i'm in NIE now and i see too many people who have come into it without knowing what they have gotten into. Think through well! good luck!!

yay, got comments. wahahaha....

dinghy.. some pple don't know what they want, just stick to whatever job that comes their way. but they still earn a decent n stable income.. i'm coming to disagree with the rising cult of working for oneself and not for others, else we are just working hard to make someone else rich and not ourselves. it's a lot easier to work for others and you still can get stable and very high income.

jayaxe, I mean joining NIE as a teacher lah. post grad course, i think. i face lotsa difficult children everyday. despite them being unlovable at times, they are still very lovable on the whole. haha..just a thought. not definite. it's too much of a change.

princessy, haha..the way you blog sure doesn't make you sound like a teacher. ooops. :) how long is the bond period? thanks for ur advice

hahah.. too many people have expressed shocked when they realise i'm to be a primary school teacher! anyway.. for the post grad course, u will be in NIE only for a yr, (1 full semester in NIE, then the 1/2 of the other semester will be spent doing practicum, which is like attachment). If i'm not wrong, the post grad pple are bonded for 3 yrs. i myself am bonded for 4 yrs. I believe now for the post grad people you will have to go through 3 mths unbonded in schs teaching first before coming into NIE. Which is a good thing. If u do decide to go this route, take those few mths in schools to find out if u really can stand teaching in the sg system. Good luck! :oD
